quick overview

Initial Consultation…

We value rapport and developing authentic, engaging professional relationships. The initial speech pathology session will involve developing rapport with the referred individual. The session will also involve discussion and analysis of referral information, including the individual’s strengths and skill areas requiring support, requests or concerns regarding communication and/or swallowing, completion of an induction questionnaire, and discussion about potential goals for speech pathology support.

Also during the initial session, the Speech Pathologist will provide a recommended plan for intervention (assessment and/or therapy), tailored specifically to the client/participant’s presentation. If time permits, the intervention plan will commence with screening, assessment or therapy as determined at the discretion of the Speech Pathologist.
