quick overview

Therapy sessions…

A personalised therapy program will commence following initial consultation, assessment and confirmation of therapy goals.

Therapy will provide caring and compassionate support through evidence-based practice, with a focus on achieving goals through positive, neurodiversity-affirming and person-centred interactions. We advocate for autonomy and independence while aiming to promote and help every individual improve quality of life.

Our practice is also happy to collaborate with other stakeholders to support an individual’s goals.

Our practice offers interactive group workshops and carer/staff training opportunities to promote effective and safe practices for the referred individuals and their extended family and support team.

Session length…

Therapy sessions will typically vary in length and are planned at the discretion of the Speech Pathologist, based on an individual’s presentation and personalised goals. Therapy sessions are typically scheduled as 30-minute, 45-minute, 60-minute or 90-minute sessions.

Session attendance…

  • It is expected that the individual (client/participant) for which referral was made will always attend sessions unless sessions are pre-planned for staff training or meetings, etc.

  • It is recommended that a referred individual of any age be accompanied to sessions by at least one parent / spouse / carer / support worker, etc. Please note any person below the age of 18 years needs to be accompanied by one or more parent and/or guardian for all sessions.
